St. Cloud Metro Area Unemployment Rate Drops In August

ST. CLOUD - The unemployment rate for the St. Cloud metro area dropped in August.

The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development says we're now at 4.7 percent, down from 5.2 percent in August.  It's our lowest unemployment rate since November of last year.

We're doing better than the statewide average, which is at 5.1 percent.  And we're doing much better than the national average of 7.3 percent.
