UPDATE: Recount For St. Cloud School Board Come Down To Single Vote

ST. CLOUD - After a day of recounting the ballots yesterday (Tuesday), the last spot in the General Election for the St. Cloud area school board is decided by just one vote.

Candidate Hassan Abdullahi Yussuf won the recount with candidate Scott Andreasen. Yussuf finished with 1,317 votes - the same number of votes he had prior to the recount. However, Andreasen's final vote total is 1,316 - five fewer than he originally had.

The results are unofficial until canvassed later this week by the school board.

Yussuf will then join Bruce Mohs, Peter Hamerlinck, Jerry VonKorff, Bruce Hentges, and Michael Conway on the November ballot.

The top three vote getters will be elected to the school board.
