ST. CLOUD - It's been quite some time since we've seen a heatwave like this, and now more than ever, folks with sensitive health are being admitted to the ER for heat-related symptoms.

Paul Schoenberg is the Director of the Emergency Trauma Center at St. Cloud Hospital. He says, while they have seen more patients in recent days, the heat has tended to worsen preexisting medical conditions rather than create new ones.

Schoenberg adds, many heat-related conditions like dehydration and exhaustion can be treated at home while in their early stages - so if you start to feel sick or weak, get inside and drink some water.
