Local Unemployment Rate Dips to Lowest Level in Four Years

ST. CLOUD - The unemployment rate in the St. Cloud metro area dropped to its lowest level in four years last month.

The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development says our unemployment rate dropped to 5% in October, down from 5.1% in September.

The last time our unemployment figure was this low was in October of 2008.

We're doing better than the state, which is at 5.8%, and the country, which is at 7.9%.
