Cathedral’s Karn Gets Great Honor

courtesy of Emmett Keenan

Longtime Cathedral head baseball coach Bob Karn has been selected for induction into the Minnesota Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame.  The Hall honors service to amateur baseball in Minnesota.  Bob’s induction has probably been delayed because he is the curator of the Hall of Fame in St. Cloud and would never allow himself to be nominated.

This year a group headed up by Pete Cheeley nominated him and he was inducted.

Bob’s induction will take place at a banquet at the River’s Edge Convention Center on Saturday September 15, 2012.

Bob Karn led Cathedral to the Class AA State Baseball championship in 2011 and led them to a 2nd place finish this year.
