CRYSTAL, Minn. (AP) - Police say the father of a missing 10-year-old Crystal boy was seen near the Mississippi River shortly after his son disappeared.

Police Chief Stephanie Revering told reporters Thursday that Pierre Collins was seen near the river between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. after his son, Barway Collins, disappeared March 18th.

Authorities say Pierre Collins called to report his son missing at 6:37 p.m. Pierre Collins has told reporters he had nothing to do with his son's disappearance.

Police say Collins has not been truthful with investigators and is still considered a suspect. He has not been arrested or charged.

Authorities have been searching the Mississippi for the missing boy.

A reward of up to $12,000 is being offered. A message left on the father's home phone was not immediately returned Thursday.
