MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Hennepin County medical examiner says the death of a 10-year-old Crystal boy was a homicide, but the cause remains undetermined.

Reports say the medical examiner's office said Tuesday that Barway Collins was killed by "unspecified means."

Collins' body, bound with duct tape, was pulled from the Mississippi River on April 11, four weeks after he disappeared. His father, 33-year-old Pierre Collins, is accused of killing him.

A grand jury last week indicted Pierre Collins on a first-degree murder charge. Prosecutors say cellphone records put him at the river near where his son's body was found, and that two life insurance policies on the boy were worth a total of $50,000.

Pierre Collins is due back in court July 7. He has not yet entered a plea.
