ALEXANDRIA - Two St. Cloud men are in jail after allegedly bringing a large amount of drugs to Alexandria.

Investigators from the Central Minnesota Violent Offenders Task Force, and the West Central Minnesota Drug Task Force, got a tip last Friday that a transaction involving a large amount of marijuana was going to happen in Alexandria.

Investigators allegedly watched 22-year-old Derek Glynn of St. Cloud come out of his apartment with a large plastic garbage bag and put it in the trunk of a car.  The car is owned by 22-year-old Aaron Christensen of St. Cloud.  Police then followed them to Alexandria to the Wal-Mart parking lot.  Once the transaction took place, Christensen and Glynn were arrested.

The garbage bag contained an alleged 6.7 pounds of marijuana, and about 3.8 grams of suspected Ecstasy.

An additional 20 pounds of marijuana was found in Glynn's apartment, along with other controlled substances, possibly methamphetamine, heroin, and cocaine.  Nearly $14,000 was cash was also found in the apartment.

They are being held in the Douglas County Jail.
