The Vikings want the state lottery to help fund a new stadium.  The Vikings would like to see a scratch off ticket to be used as one of the state's funding mechanisms to help fund a new stadium.  The Vikings partnered with the state to produce a popular lottery ticket last year.  Minnesota new Governor Mark Dayton doesn't like the idea of using gambling to help fund a new stadium.  A decision on replacement or repair of the Metrodome roof will come soon.  The Metropolitan Sports Facilities Commission meets today to hear from engineers who have been assessing the damage since the roof collapsed in December.  A replacement of the roof would take 5-6 months and cause the Vikings to play 1 or 2 preseason games at TCF Bank Stadium.
