Top 5 at 7:45 – Former Twins Having Great Seasons

The Top 5 today may irritate some Twins fans because it highlights players who are having great years playing elsewhere after playing in Minnesota at one point in their career.  The Top 5 at 7:45 airs weekday mornings with me on WJON.

5) Kyle Lohse - Remember when he attacked Ron Gardenhire's office door?  Lohse has 6 wins already this year.
4) Joe Nathan - He's in the twilight of his career but has already posted 12 saves for Detroit.
3) Justin Morneau - He's having a nice bounce-back year in Colorado.  Morneau is hitting .312 with 10 homeruns and 33 RBIs.
2) David Ortiz - He's won 2 World Series titles in Boston.  He's hitting .270 with 12 homeruns and 30 RBIs this year.
1) Carlos Gomez - He was the centerpiece in the Santana trade.  Gomez is hitting .323 with 11 homeruns and 30 RBIs in Milwaukee.
