He was 3-3 on field goals and made his lone extra point try in St. John's 27-22 loss at Bethel Saturday. Mattson made a season best 49-yard field to tie the game at 3 in the first half. St. John's finished their season with a 5-5 overall record.

The St. Cloud State wrestling team won the NCAA Division II Super Region 3 tournament in St. Cloud Sunday. SCSU finished with 164 points with Upper Iowa 2nd with 155.5 points. St. Cloud State's Tad Merritt at 165 pounds won the individual title at 165 pounds and was chosen as the most valuable wrestler at the tournament.
