A Waite Park woman has no shortage of love or support as she battles cancer for the second time in nearly two years.

New renovation designs and a fundraising plan with the goal of bringing varsity sports back to Clark Field were revealed Thursday morning. Members present from the District 742 school board remain on the fence with the plan.

The St. Cloud area school district will discuss a new policy for service animals in schools during their Wednesday night board meeting. The purpose of the policy is to set up procedures for the use of service animals by students, employees and visitors in school buildings and on school grounds.

The Friends of Clark Field group met on Monday night to brainstorm plans to preserve the field as green space. Superintendent Willie Jett made the announcement that they had stopped demolition of the field while they consider other options for a future site to place early childhood education programs.

Emotions ran high as over 100 people came out in force to voice their opposition to putting a building on Clark Field. The district held an community input session on Tuesday night about the future of the site.

Even with pieces being removed from the site, community members are still fighting to save Clark Field in St. Cloud. The St. Cloud school district has a plan to put in a new $25 million building on the site for early childhood education, community education, adult basic education, the district welcome center, media services and the administrative offices.

This week for our All Star Student series we hit the Apollo High School tennis courts to meet with junior Sam Gerdes. Sam is no stranger to after school activities. She's involved in anything from athletics to helping freshman students at Apollo through Link Crew.

The St. Cloud area school district is budgeting just over $66 million over the next 10 years for health, safety and maintenance. The plan included expenditures for district health and safety projects, totaling $66,300,000 for the next 10 years.

The St. Cloud area school district will be holding a job fair on Wednesday for paraprofessionals and bus drivers. The event is at Apollo High School from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
