Thousands are still without power this (Saturday) morning, after last night's storm. Xcel Energy spokeswoman Mary Sandok says they have over 12,000 customers without power stretching from the St. Cloud area down through southwest Minnesota. And East Central Energy has nearly 9,000 customers without power.

East Central Energy says most of the customers who lost power in Benton County this morning have had their electricity restored.

Rain, wind and lightning have knocked out power to thousands of customers in the Twin Cities metro area. Xcel Energy says more than 8,000 customers were without service Tuesday morning.

Some people woke-up without power this (Monday) morning. The outage spread from Glenwood to Rice.

A power outage is affecting 1, 520 customers in part of east St. Cloud and Sauk Rapids. Xcel Energy says the outage happened at 6:31 a.m.

A downed tree has caused over 530 customers to be without power in the Milaca area.

Nearly 8,000 Xcel Energy customers in St. Cloud and Waite Park were without power Sunday as a major snow storm blew into the state. Xcel spokeswoman Mary Sandok says the problem was an equipment failure at a substation about 11 a.m.
