After dropping their first game in the NCAA Division II tournament, the St. Cloud State Huskies baseball team avoided elimination with a 2-0 win in extra innings against Missouri Southern on Friday.

Minnesota State-Mankato is the #1 seed and will host #6 Regis Thursday, #3 Colorado Mesa will play #4 New Mexico Highlands Thursday in Mankato. The times of the games Thursday will be announced Monday.

The higher-seeded team won every NCAA tournament game played in men’s Division I basketball on Saturday. Top seeds Kentucky and Syracuse were among the teams which advanced to the regional semifinal round next week.
