Officials estimate there are 361 homeless students in the St. Cloud Area School District, compared to 241 at this time last year.

A new government report says homelessness is up slightly in Minnesota and down in Wisconsin. Data from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development pegs Minnesota's homeless population at about 7,900, an increase of approximately 2 percent in 2010, compared to the previous year.
