After 52-years in the ministry, well known Father Alfred Stangl passed away in his St. Cloud apartment on Monday. Stangl was 77-years-old. Reception of his body will be at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, August 21st, at the Cathedral of Saint Mary in St. Cloud. Visitation will be from 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A vigil service will be at 7:00 p.m.

The Diocese of St. Cloud is celebrating its 125th anniversary on Sunday. There's a Mass at 3:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral in downtown St. Cloud. That will be followed by a picnic supper on the church grounds.

The Catholic Diocese of St. Cloud is announcing a new Bishop this (Friday) morning. Bishop Donald Kettler of Fairbanks, Alaska will be introduced at a news conference has been scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Spokeswoman Jane Marrin says Kettler will start on November 7th.
