Unity Spiritual Center Hosts “Beatles Sunday”
Sartell, MN — Unity Spiritual Center of Sartell, Minnesota, will host “Beatles Sunday” on March 29 at 10 AM. The event will feature special guest Jake Hagedorn, member of The Revolution 5, the premier Beatles tribute show in Minnesota.
The event is a spinoff of the center’s popular John Denver Sunday, which takes place each December and celebrates Denver’s iconic music against a spiritual backdrop. Beatles Sunday will feature several of the band’s classic hits, while celebrating the deeper meaning behind them.
Organizer and lead musician Dennis Warner said though we may not think of Beatles music as spiritual, many of their songs speak to living a more positive human experience.
“Their lyrics challenge us to ‘come together; let it be; and love, love, love’. These messages are just as relevant now as when they were written 50 years ago,” said Warner.
Warner has released 10 CD’s and the acclaimed children’s book, Beads on One String. He’s performed in concert at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. and was a featured performer at the Parliament of the World’s Religions conference in Toronto, where 7500+ attended the week-long event, representing over 220 different faiths from around the globe.
Warner and Hagedorn will be accompanied by musicians Cristina Seaborn (piano, violin); Allen Brisse (bass guitar, vocals); Dennis “DK” Kennedy (percussion); Minnesota Music Hall of Fame Inductee Pat Curto (percussion, vocals); and Rick Walter (banjo).
The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are invited to stay for an English-style brunch following the service for a suggested $5 love offering. A bake sale will accompany the brunch.
