Additional Information

The Chamber Music Society of St. Cloud presents pianist Ann DuHamel in a concert 7:30 p.m. Saturday, January 21 at the SCSU Ruth Gant Recital Hall in a program of works selected from her project "Prayers for a Feverish Planet: New Music about Climate Change."
The performance features selections from a collection of 60 new pieces for piano and piano/electronics written by composers on six continents on the themes of water, grief/anxiety, shadows and light, time, human “progress,” trees, hope, and more, and including a piece composed by St. Cloud composer Kristian Twombly.
Ann’s performances have been praised as poetic and “… a delight for the ears and the soul.” She’s performed in 16 countries on four continents. Hailed as a “forward thinking classical pianist," Ann actively champions contemporary composers. In demand as a collaborative pianist, Ann has performed chamber music with members of Minnesota Orchestra and the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, soprano Maria Jette, among others.
