ST. CLOUD - Thousands gathered to watch the Charlie Daniels Band perform during a free concert on Friday night.

The concert took place in Whitney Park. This is the 26th anniversary for the block party. The event was held as part of St. Cloud's Granite City Days celebration.

Cars lined up around the park hours in advance for a chance to claim good spots to watch the band perform.

The Granite City Days continue on Saturday with the grand parade which starts at 10:00 a.m. It starts near the hospital, travels down 6th Avenue, and ends at the library. The Stearns History Museum is hosting another Historic Pub Crawl on Saturday night at 6:00 p.m.

And, on Sunday, there’s a 5K run, Airport breakfast, and several events at Lake George.
