Whitney Senior Center Welcomes New Director [AUDIO]

ST. CLOUD - A longtime local leader in the field of senior programming has become the aging services director at the Whitney Senior Center.

Laura Hood was the director of social services and quality assurance at Country Manor in Sartell.

At an open house at the Whitney last week, Hood said one of her goals as director will be to keep the Whitney as vibrant and activity-packed as always.

Hood has spent her entire career in the service of seniors, and she says that the Whitney is an essential part of the St. Cloud Area.

Hood began her position with the Whitney on September 7th and has spent the last few weeks meeting and getting to know people.

The Whitney offers public orientation programs every Monday for people 55 and older to drop in and learn more about what the Whitney has to offer.
