ST. CLOUD -- The long-time Executive Director of HealthPartners Central Minnesota is retiring.

After more than 15 years leading HealthPartners Central Minnesota Clinic, Executive Director Andrew Vinson announced Monday that he will retire on June 5th. Under Vinson's leadership HPCMC experienced large amounts of growth and became recognized as a health care leader in Central Minnesota.

During his time the clinic has grown to include more than 175 employees, specializing in several fields. In a statement to WJON, Dr. Julie Johnson, Regional Medical Director says:

Over the years Vinson served on several of our area's community boards and committees. Some of these include the American Heart Association, March of Dimes, St. Cloud Library, Rotary Club and many more.

Vinson said this about his time with HealthPartners Central Minnesota:

"I'm so privileged to have worked alongside such an incredible group of compassionate, caring and dedicated colleagues who focus on what matters most - helping our patients and the community live healthy lives, I will miss that day-to-day connection, and believe that our best days are yet to come."
