Tri-CAP Offering Free Tax Help

ST. CLOUD -- People and families with lower incomes can get free help with their tax returns again this season.

Tri-CAP is offering free walk-in tax preparation help at three different sites.  From January 29th through April 13th, you can use one of three sites to prepare your return. There are walk-in clinics at Catholic Charities, St. Cloud Technical and Community College and Salvation Army.

Tri-CAP Family Resources Director Patrick Shepard says their helpers are professionally trained and must pass an IRS tax preparation test.

The tax help is available on a walk-in, first-come first-served basis. No appointments will be taken.

To qualify, individuals must make less than $30-thousand per year and families must make less than $50-thousand per year.
