UPDATE: Sauk Rapids Police Investigate Alleged Murder

Sauk Rapids police are investigating an alleged murder. On Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m. officers were called to 107 3rd Avenue South to check on 43-year-old James Omara, who did not show up for work. Omara was last seen alive on Friday evening. He was found dead in his apartment from a gun shot wound.

Two Men Seriously Hurt in Early Morning Crash

An early morning crash sent two Sauk Rapids men to the hospital with serious injuries early this morning. Sauk Rapids Police and Fire were called to the 1300 block of 2nd Avenue South at about 2:20 a.m. for a one car crash. Police say the car left the road and struck a tree on the front passenger side of the vehicle.

Two people were hurt in a motorcycle crash in Sauk Rapids Friday. Police say the driver of the bike lost control and hit the side of a vehicle. The crash happened on Summit Avenue Friday afternoon.
