UPDATE: A Sartell man is OK after rolling his vehicle early this (Wednesday) morning in Sartell. The incident happened at about 7:30 a.m. near the intersection of 19th Avenue South and 15th Street South.
With Christmas just a couple weeks away, many are waiting for gifts and packages to arrive on their doorstep. Unfortunately, Sartell Police say some of those packages are being stolen. There have been several reports of suspicious vehicles driving on the streets looking for a chance to steal.
Sartell Police say messages circulating through social media suggesting an attack by ISIS in Minnesota, including St. Cloud, are only a rumor. Police Chief Jim Hughes says his department recieved numerous emails and calls on Monday night about a Tweet that was sent out on the 21st (shown above).
Five Sartell police officers were honored this (Monday) evening for their roles in helping to deliver a baby and saving a life last month. Sergeant Kelly Mader, Officer Steve Matthews and Officer John Lester were presented with the Stork Award and Officers Rob Lyon and Kari Bonfield were honored with the Life Saving Award.

Sartell Police arrested a Minneapolis man early Friday morning for allegedly taking items from a vehicle. The incident happened just after 1:45 a.m. in a parking lot in the 1200 block of 15th Street South. Police responded to a report of four males pulling on vehicle door handles to see if they were unlocked.
Several solar lamps were recently vandalized in Sartell. Sartell Police say the public works department installed the lamps on Friday along the pedestrian path between city hall and Bernicks Arena.
