Gopher Football Coach Jerry Kill to be Readmitted to Hospital for Seizures

Minnesota coach Jerry Kill will re-admit himself to the hospital after suffering another seizure on Sunday morning. He'll be at the Mayor Clinic in Rochester for further testing.

Gophers’ Kill Released From Hospital

The Gopher football team welcomed back head coach Jerry Kill Thursday. He was released from the hospital and attended practice Thursday. He had a seizure near the end of the game last week at home against New Mexico State. The Gophers host Miami-Ohio this Saturday at 2:30, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 1:30. Kill is expected to coach the team Saturday.

Assistants Expect Kill To Coach

Gopher football assistant coaches Matt Limegrover and Tracy Claeys both expect head coach Jerry Kill to coach the team from the sidelines this Saturday. Kill suffered a seizure near the end of the Gopher loss to New Mexico last Saturday. He has been recovering but did not attend the press conference yesterday.

Gophers Sticking With Gray At QB

Gopher head football coach Jerry Kill is sticking with junior Marquis Gray as his starting quarterback against New Mexico State this Saturday. Gray was 7-12 passing for 94 yards and ran for 47 yards in the loss against USC Saturday. Gray left the game in the 2nd half with cramps and was replaced by freshman Max Shortell.

The University of Minnesota Football program signed 22 players to National Letters of intent on College Football National Signing Day Wednesday. The lone 4 Star recruit signed by new Minnesota head coach Jerry Kill is Mahtomedia offensive lineman Tommy Olson.
