September 16, 2011 The Gopher football team welcomed back head coach Jerry Kill Thursday. He was released from the hospital and attended practice Thursday. He had a seizure near the end of the game last week at home against New Mexico State. The Gophers host Miami-Ohio this Saturday at 2:30, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 1:30. Kill is expected to coach the team Saturday.
September 14, 2011 Gopher football assistant coaches Matt Limegrover and Tracy Claeys both expect head coach Jerry Kill to coach the team from the sidelines this Saturday. Kill suffered a seizure near the end of the Gopher loss to New Mexico last Saturday. He has been recovering but did not attend the press conference yesterday.
September 7, 2011 Gopher head football coach Jerry Kill is sticking with junior Marquis Gray as his starting quarterback against New Mexico State this Saturday. Gray was 7-12 passing for 94 yards and ran for 47 yards in the loss against USC Saturday. Gray left the game in the 2nd half with cramps and was replaced by freshman Max Shortell.
