Farmers market managers and vendors from across Minnesota gather in Waite Park on Thursday for the Minnesota Farmers' Market Association's Spring Conference. The Minnesota Department of Agriculture says they'll be the first to hear the results of customer research conducted by the department's Minnesota Grown Program.
Fresh produce, organic meat, and other locally grown products will be readily available again this year. Farmers markets will be opening soon in several area communities. Here's a rundown of just a few in this area:
The first of our area farmers markets will be opening tomorrow (Saturday). The St. Cloud Farmers Market will be open from 8:00 a.m. until noon in the Bremer Bank parking lot. They'll be open every Saturday morning into this fall. We have a list of other area farmers markets openings as well.
