Timberwolves rookies Ricky Rubio and Derrick Williams were each chosen to participate in the Rising Stars Challenge to be held during the All Star weekend on February 24 in Orlando, Florida. TNT analysts Charles Barkley and Shaquille O'Neal will chose the players for each team.

The Timberwolves got the #2 pick in the NBA draft lottery Tuesday night. The event was held in Secaucus, New Jersey. The Wolves had the best odds of any team to get the #1 pick but Cleveland got it instead. Minnesota has dropped from the position they should have been drafting 8 times and have never improved their position.
