The Timberwolves got the #2 pick in the NBA draft lottery Tuesday night.  The event was held in Secaucus, New Jersey.  The Wolves had the best odds of any team to get the #1 pick but Cleveland got it instead.  Minnesota has dropped from the position they should have been drafting 8 times and have never improved their position.  Duke point guard Kyrie Irving is expected to be the first overall pick with Arizona forward Derrick Williams expected to be the 2nd pick.  The 6'8 Williams is projected to be a small forward in the NBA.  Williams averaged 19.5 points and 8.3 rebounds a game this past season at Arizona.  Timberwolves President David Kahn says it's too early to speculate on who the Wolves will pick with the 2nd pick.  The 2nd pick is the highest spot the Wolves have ever drafted from.
