One of the more popular buildings on the fairgrounds belongs to the Sauk Rapids Sportsman's Club, which is filled with fish, birds and other animals found in Minnesota.
The annual Granite City Kennel Club dog show had a great turn out this year. Karen Derr had her portuguese water dog, Beamer in the show and says that confirmation shows like this one are more laid back than performance shows. Confirmation dog shows are based on the dog's structure and movement rather than a performance show that highlights agility or obedience.
For the Kaschmitter family, being involved in 4-H is a special tradition passed down through generations. Colby, Sara, and Ben Kaschmitter have been showing pigs since elementary school. Sara says it's fun to keep the tradition alive their parents and grandparents started.
