ST. CLOUD - The St. Cloud school board is discussing the next key steps towards a new Tech High School on Wednesday night.

School board chair Dennis Whipple says the board will start a discussion on a levy during their work session meeting.

The board will discuss their options and laws they need to be aware of for a levy moving forward. Whipple says they are also working to create plenty of opportunities for community feedback.

The board officially went forward with a plan to build a new Tech High School and renovate Apollo High School in December. It will ultimately come down to the voters to approve a new high school when the item is put on a ballot in late spring.

The board hopes to come up with the levy amount and exact voting date in late February or March.
