ST. CLOUD - A St. Cloud diner has temporarily closed its doors for a remodeling and renaming process.

Pete's Place owner Pete Holt says they will be reopening under a new name "The Place" after remodeling work is done. He will continue to cook the food in the restaurant. The diner is at 413 9th Avenue North, an exercise studio also operates from the building.

Pete's is best known for its breakfast selection and home cooked meals. The food will stay the same when they reopen.

The diner's Facebook Page says they're permanently closed, but Holt says they're only changing the name and remodeling. They hope to reopen sometime early next week.
