ST. CLOUD -- In our third installment of Frozen In Time we stopped by Pete's Place, A local diner in St. Cloud.

The diner opened 14 years ago along 9th Avenue.  Unlike some restaurant owners, Pete Holt cooks and serves the majority of food for his customers. Today Pete's Place is perhaps best known for it's breakfast selection.

Holt was previously a baker for many years before he decided to open the diner. He says that experience has inspired him to get creative with the breakfast menu. He added that he likes having a job where he can interact with his customers.

Holt is a fan of actress, Marlyn Monroe, something he's proud of. Over the years he has collected photos of the star from loyal customers and staff which he has hanging on the walls of the diner.

Each morning a group of people get together to play card games and participate in cribbage tournaments. Holt recognizes the tournament winners with an honorary frame that he hangs on the wall next to Monroe. Holt says lots of lifelong friends are made at Pete's Place.

The restaurant is open everyday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
