FOLEY - A scary incident at a Foley church yesterday (Sunday) morning. Foley Police Chief Katie McMillin says officers responded to the Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church just before 9:00 a.m. on a report of an adult man making threats and using vulgar language toward worshippers.

The man was carrying a briefcase, but it did not have any weapons.

The man was escorted out of the church by worshippers, where they waited for officers to arrive.

McMillin says the man has been identified as a Veteran, who has been off his medications. He was taken back to his home and his family was called.
