FOLEY - The Benton County Sheriff's Department needs to cut their budget.  The county is losing $281,000 in revenue because Foley is ending their policing contract with them.

County Administrator Monty Headley says Sheriff Brad Bennett has outlined a plan to cut about a quarter of a million dollars.

Headley says Bennett's plan would also eliminate the budget for replacement squad cars.

However, County Commissioners say the cuts aren't deep enough, and should include letting go the three deputy positions that had been hired to patrol the streets of Foley.  A final decision is expected to be made next week.
