With a win tonight, the Wild would be just five points out of a playoff spot. With a loss they would be out by nine. With a few teams to jump in the standings it's still a bit of a longshot for Minnesota to make the playoffs, but a win Thursday would certainly give them a big confidence boost.
The ROCORI Spartans will look to get revenge for a mid-December loss in Cold Spring when they take on the Tigers at Tech High School Thursday night on WJON. Since ROCORI lost to Tech back on December 12th, the Spartans are 12-1. ROCORI boasts a 14-4 record this season, including an 8-2 mark in the Central Lakes Conference. The Spartans were just 4-23 last season.

Kevin Martin scored 21 points in 29 minutes of play in his first game back for the Wolves following wrist surgery in November. Six other Wolves scored in double figures including Gorgui Djeng, who scored 16 points and pulled down 14 rebounds
Alexandria maintained a stranglehold in Section 6A by defeating St. Cloud Tech 4-1, while Apollo fell 2-0 at home to Fergus Falls. The Otters jump ahead of St. Cloud Apollo in 6A with the win, holding second place by .7 QRF points. Sartell remains in fourth place in the section, followed by Cathedral. The Crusaders were shut out 3-0 at Little Falls Tuesday night.
The Tech Tigers boys hockey team plays host to Alexandria Tuesday night at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center (7:15, WJON). The Tigers fell to the Cardinals 4-1 in the teams' previous meeting back in December. Tech is 5-13-2 overall this season and 2-8-1 in the Central Lakes Conference.
The Tech Tigers boys hockey team beat the Willmar Cardinals 6-3 at Willmar Civic Center Thursday night. Senior Braden Altena scored a hat trick to lead the Tigers to the win, with Joey Mendel registering three assists.
