ST. JOSEPH -- There are many different forms of art, from paintings, drawing, and sculpting. But for those with a green thumb gardening is their form of art.

The 17th Annual Summer Garden Tour happened this weekend, where seven select, and beautiful gardens in the St. Cloud area will be on display for people to enjoy.

The tour is put on by Avon Area Arts and Thomsen's Greenhouse and Garden Center as a fundraiser to provide scholarships for those interested in the arts.

Tickets were sold are part of the fundraiser which would allow people to view this amazing gardens, ask questions, take pictures and enjoy a beautiful display or flowers and vegetables.

"I grew up gardening, I have two grandmothers who were passionate gardeners," says Tamara Armstrong, one of the gardens on display in the tour. "So I think that's where I got the bug for gardening and have just continued ever since."

After the tours, Avon Area Arts held a reception at Thomsen's Greenhouse and Garden Center where music and refreshments were served to celebrate another successful tour.

All the proceeds from the Summer Garden Tour will go directly to Avon Area Arts, a non-profit organization.
