Woman Found Dead, Man Injured In Mankato

MANKATO, (AP) - Police in Mankato say they're investigating the death of a woman as a homicide.

Public Safety Deputy Director Matt Westermayer says a man has also been wounded and a male is in custody.

He declined to say whether the injured man was the male in custody or what type of weapon may have been involved.

The deceased woman and injured man were found at a single-family residence Thursday morning.

Westermayer says the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting with the investigation.
