BIG LAKE -- Members of the Drug Task Force executed a search warrant which led to the arrest of two Big Lake natives today (Wednesday).

The Sherburne County Sheriff's office says the Drug Task Force and Emergency Response United assisted in the search of a home in the 400 block of Ormsbee Street.

Authorities found methamphetamine, various prescription pills, a loaded firearm and other drug paraphernalia.

Deputies arrested 43-year-old Steven Coash and 39-year-old Kristie Kampa in connection with 5th degree possession of a controlled substance, negligent storage of a firearm and methamphetamine paraphernalia in the presence of a child.

Sheriff Joel Brott says Coash was also arrested for a person prohibited from possessing a firearm.

The two were taken to the Sherburne County Jail and are awaiting charges.
