Town Hall Meeting to be Held on Tuesday on Talking to Kids About Substance Abuse

ST. CLOUD - The St. Cloud Community Alliance will be hosting a town hall meeting to give parents information on talking to their kids about substance abuse.

Experts will discuss legal issues and costs that come with alcohol and drug abuse, as well as their effect on brain development and overall health.

Each family that attends will receive a resource kit with information to help them have conversations with their kids on alcohol and other drugs.

Town hall panelists will include: Dr. Tim Tinius, a local neuro-psychologist with the VA Health Care System; Steve Lanz, a Recovery Plus liaison for St. Cloud Hospital; Kelsey McIntire, Recovery Plus counselor at Clara's House; Krister Johnson, a local attorney; and Dan Pearson, a local business owner and parent.

The event is free and open to everyone and will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20th in the St. Cloud Tech auditorium.
