UNDATED - We just survived a very cold weekend in Minnesota, with the official low of 28 degrees below zero on Sunday in St. Cloud.  However, not a record. The record for December 18th is 30 below set in 1983.

Then next day, on December 19th back in 1983, it got even colder.  Record lows were set across central Minnesota with temperatures ranging from fifty degrees below zero to the upper twenties below zero.

Mora set their record with a low of 52 below, with 42 below at Little Falls, 41 below at Jordan, St. Cloud, and Cambridge, and 39 below at Long Prairie, Milaca, and Stillwater.
