The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for our entire WJON listening area today (Tuesday) until 6:00 p.m. We could see between one and three inches of snow, with some sleet mixed in as well.
A quick 1-3 inch burst of snow will impact travel across much of central and southeast Minnesota and western Wisconsin today...particularly from the southern Twin Cities Metro east to Eau Claire, and south to Albert Lea.
The National Weather Service has issued a Freezing Rain Advisory for all of our listening area until 6:00 a.m. tomorrow (Thursday). Ice accumulations of less than a tenth of an inch are possible. Untreated surfaces may become very slippery.
We have a Winter Weather Advisory until noon today (Friday), for freezing rain and sleet. Travelers are urged to be careful of icy road conditions tomorrow (Friday) as light freezing rain is forecast through the morning.
Brace yourself for one of the coldest mornings of the season so far. The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory of much of Minnesota from 3:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. tomorrow (Tuesday).
The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory until noon today (Friday). And another Wind Chill Advisory will go into effect at 11:00 p.m. tonight (Friday) and run until 9:00 a.m. tomorrow (Saturday).
The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Warning from 1:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. The wind chill values will generally be between 35 and 40 degrees below zero, with the coldest conditions right around sunrise.
Accumulating snow will develop later tonight and continue on Tuesday. The heavier accumulation will occur during the morning across portions of west central Wisconsin where a Winter Weather Advisory has been posted.
