Wet weather will return later today as rain shifts north from Iowa. The most widespread rain expected this weekend is in the Friday night through Saturday morning time frame but scattered showers are expected to persist into Sunday morning.
We unofficially had about one-inch of rain at the radio station on the east side of St. Cloud on Tuesday morning. The National Weather Service says the official rainfall total was .89 at the St. Cloud Regional Airport.
Monday will be a cold and raw day as we watch rain turn to snow in the afternoon. After that, rain chances will come every couple of days with temperatures running 5 to 10 degrees above normal after Tuesday.
Temperatures will warm each day through Saturday with 50s today, 50s and 60s Friday, and 70s and 80s Saturday. Severe weather is possible Sunday across southern Minnesota as the next weather system pushes in.
