The Weekender: It’s the 4th of July
Lots of great events this weekender to celebrate the 4th of July. From fireworks to music there is a little something for everyone to enjoy. Some of the highlights this weekending include fireworks (of course), music from a few different bands, and a couple of comedians ready to hit your funny bone. Check it all out in The Weekender.
If it's the 4th of July weekend then you know it's Joetown Rocks time. There is a whole weekend of fun events starting tomorrow night at 5:00. The festivities start with games, food, and refreshments on the parish grounds. Of course my favorite is the Joe Burgers. The music starts at 6:00 with The Graduates. Jeremiah James Korfe, Ricky Nelson Remembered!, (featuring Matthew Nelson, Gunnar Nelson, Jeff Vee, and Tommy Vee), and Maiden Dixie will also be playing. Fireworks will go off starting at 10:15 p.m. Then on Saturday the fun continues with a parade, and music by Walters Wheelhouse. The event also features a quilt auction and a raffle drawing. All of these events are free so you can celebrate the 4th of July Weekend.

The Premiere 90's Band Experience, The Mallrats, will be playing at the Amphitheater at Grand Casino Hinckley tomorrow (Friday). They hit the stage starting at 8:30 p.m. with all of your favorite 90's music. Following the concert a fireworks show will light up the sky. That will start around 10:00 p.m. There are still tickets available for this show. The cost is $10 per ticket. This is a great way to celebrate the 4th of July.

Another way to celebrate the 4th of July right here in St. Cloud. There will be festivities at both Hester Park and Wilson Park on Saturday. Airmaxx, Bounce Adventure, and music will be taking place at both of the parks, as well as food and beverages. At Hester Park the St. Cloud Municipal Band and the 34th Infantry Division Red Bull Band will be performing from 8:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Music includes Star Spangled Banner, Salute to the Duke, God Bless America, Battle Hymn of the Republic, Armed Forces Salute, and Stars and Stripes Forever among many more. The 34th Infantry Division Red Bull Rock Band will be performing from 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. over at Wilson Park. Here there will be a reserved seating area for members of the U.S. Military and families. Following the music, fireworks will light up the sky. This is the 68th year of the St. Cloud fireworks, and they will be synchronized to music.

The Sunset Stages at Saint Benedict's continues tonight. Comedians Shannan Paul and Mary Mack will be taking the stage at 7:30 p.m. Their show tells hilarious life stories, but it will be a fun evening of clean humor.
There are two more shows part of the Sunset Stages. Robert Robinson will be performing on July 9th, and Deuces Wild will take the stage on July 16th. All of these shows are free at the Darnall Amphitheater.
