A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for parts of Southeastern Stearns County.

We have some weather related announcements for today (Tuesday), April 12th, 2016:

The recent warm weather and rain could have some affects on fish houses out on county lakes. Sherburne County Sheriff Joel Brott says ice fisherman should not wait until last minute to removed their fish houses.

Blizzard warnings are out for much of western and southern Minnesota where gusty winds are expected to make travel treacherous.

We have some weather related announcements for today (Monday) January 25th, 2016:

A community meeting in Paynesville put on by Patty and Jerry Wetterling has been postponed for tonight (Monday) due to weather. The meeting was meant as a way to help central Minnesota residents cope with recent developments in their son's case.

Minnesota's corn harvest is now 96 percent complete, putting it 12 days ahead of last year's pace and five days ahead of the five-year average.

Officially here in St. Cloud we collected .84 of an inch of rain at the St. Cloud Regional Airport on Friday. We're still a little more than a half inch below normal for the month of October. And, we're more than 1 3/4 of an inch below normal since September 1st.

It's October, but summer is having a last hurrah in Minnesota.
