The movies will go on a the Marcus Parkwood Theatres in Waite Park, but security will be beefed-up. Waite Park Police Chief Dave Bentrud says he's been in contact today (Friday) with the owners of the theatre.
Sammy's Pizza has been a flagship restaurant in the St. Cloud area for nearly 60 years - and under the original ownership of Dick Blitvich. That will change when the restaurant reopens a month from now after renovations.
After 46 years of business, Taco Villa of Waite Park is closing up shop. The Mexican restaurant, located near the intersection of Division Street and 2nd Avenue South, will have it's last day of business on Christmas Eve.
The buildings are all closed-up and the railroad cars are long gone, but there are still a lot of families in the Waite Park and St. Cloud area that have a connection to the old "car shop". And now there's a plan to make sure the memory of the railroad lives on.
Starting tomorrow through the end of March, St. Cloud's winter parking restrictions are in effect. Much of the city is covered by odd-even parking restrictions. Other areas are covered by signs or "no parking" rules.
