Minnesota's members of Congress who were elected in November are being sworn in at the U.S. Capitol. The 113th Congress convenes at noon eastern time on Thursday. New and returning members will be sworn in immediately, including Sen. Amy Klobuchar and the state's eight U.S. representatives.
A Duluth city councilman on Wednesday announced his plans to challenge U.S. Rep. Chip Cravaack in Minnesota's 8th Congressional District. Jeff Anderson says he's been hearing from an increasing number of residents, including some who voted for Cravaack, who are "not impressed" with the way the Republican freshman congressman has represented the district.
