Veteran Minnesota Vikings fans who remember the days when the team played all of their home games outdoors are warning their younger comrades to make sure they have the right warm-weather gear for Monday night's game against Chicago at TCF Bank Stadium.
The University of Minnesota says the response to a call for shovelers at TCF Stadium has been overwhelming. The university promised between $9 and $10 an hour to remove snow from seating areas, concourses and the playing field.
The daunting task of removing snow from the buried TCF Bank Stadium has begun. The Vikings will need the stadium for Monday night's game against the Bears -- the first outdoor NFL game in Minnesota in 30 years.
