SCSU’s Eddy Signs With Calgary Flames

St. Cloud State junior forward David Eddy has signed a 2-way contract with the Calgary Flames and will forego his senior season at SCSU to play professionally. Eddy finished his career with 30 goals and 35 assists in 92 games at SCSU. Eddy had 9 goals and 16 assists for the Huskies this season. Eddy will likely play for the Abbotsford Heat of the AHL. Travis Novak of SCSU signed a ATO to play for the Hamilton Bulldogs of the AHL.

SCSU Hockey Advances To Final Five

The St. Cloud State men's hockey team defeated Nebraska-Omaha 3-1 Saturday night to win the WCHA first round best of 3 series 2 games to none and advance to the WCHA Final Five. Jared Festler, Ben Hanowski and Travis Novak each scored a goal for the Huskies and Mike Lee had 32 saves. SCSU scored 2 goals in the 3rd period after the game was tied at 1 after 2.

SCSU Hockey Tops UNO 4-0

The St. Cloud State men's hockey team defeated Nebraska-Omaha 4-0 in game 1 of their WCHA first round playoff series and lead 1 game to none heading into tonight's game 2. Joe Rehkamp and Ben Hanowski each scored a goal in the first period, Andrew Prochno scored for SCSU in the 2nd and Taylor Johnson scored a power play goal for the Huskies in the 3rd. Mike Lee had 27 saves to get the shutout in net for SCSU.

SCSU Hockey Downs #2 MN-Duluth 2-1

The St. Cloud State men's hockey team defeated #2 Minnesota-Duluth 2-1 Friday night to keep their home ice hopes alive in the WCHA playoffs. Brooks Bertsch and Travis Novak each scored a goal for the Huskies and Mike Lee had 35 saves. SCSU has 27 WCHA points and is tied with Nebraska-Omaha for 6th place in the league standings.

SCSU Falls at Michigan Tech; Settles For Split

The St. Cloud State men's hockey team lost 3-2 at Michigan Tech Saturday night after beating Michigan Tech Friday night 5-2. Nick Jensen scored on the power play in the 3rd period to tie the game at 2 but Blake Pietila scored the game-winner for Michigan Tech in overtime. Nic Dowd scored the other St. Cloud State goal and Mike Lee had 25 saves.

SCSU Hockey Pounds Alaska-Anchorage

The St. Cloud State men's hockey team pounded Alaska-Anchorage 8-3 Saturday night to get a split in the weekend series. SCSU lost 3-2 in overtime to Anchorage Friday night. Travis Novak and David Eddy each scored 2 goals for the Huskies. Ryan Faragher had 28 saves for SCSU in the net.

SCSU Men’s Hockey Falls to UAA in Overtime

The St. Cloud State men's hockey team lost 3-2 in overtime Friday night to Alaska-Anchorage. Jared Rabey and Ben Hanowski each scored a goal for SCSU. Hanowski's goal tied the game at 2 in the 3rd period. Mike Lee had 29 saves for the Huskies.

SCSU’s Lee Gets Honor

St. Cloud State goaltender Mike Lee is the WCHA defensive player of the week this week after leading the Huskies to a pair of wins over Wisconsin last weekend. Lee had 72 saves and faced a total of 74 shots in the 2 games. SCSU beat Wisconsin 5-1 Friday and 2-1 Saturday. Lee was in goal both nights.

SCSU Hockey Completes Sweep Of Badgers

The St. Cloud State men's hockey team completed a weekend sweep of Wisconsin winning 2-1 at the Kohl Center Saturday night. SCSU got the game-winning goal from Jarrod Rabey in the 3rd period after Nic Dowd tied the game at 2 in the 2nd. Mike Lee started in net for the 2nd straight night for the Huskies and had 41 saves.

The St. Cloud State men's hockey team defeated Wisconsin 5-1 Friday night. Ben Hanowski scored the first 2 SCSU goals and finished with 2 goals and 1 assist. SCSU scored 3 2nd period goals to put the game out of reach for Wisconsin. David Eddy, Nic Dowd and Jared Festler each scored a goal for the Huskies and Mike Lee had 31 saves.
