The Sartell-St. Stephen school board came under fire on Monday night as they approved a new contract for the Superintendent. The board voted 4-2 to extend Joe Hill's contract for three years, keeping his salary at just over $154,000 for each year.

This week's High School Football Rankings are out with Sartell-St. Stephen ranked #10 in the State in Class 5A. The Sabres are 4-0 and will play at home against Fergus Falls this Friday night. Rocori is ranked #2 in the State in Class 4A, Becker is #5 in Class 4A and Annandale is ranked #8 in Class 3A.

Sartell-St. Stephen has a new head coach, Scott Hentges, Justin Skalerud returns as the Apollo head coach, Gregg Martig is back at Tech, Dean Taylor returns at Cathedral, and Bill Magnuson is back at Sauk Rapids-Rice. Mike Rowe is back as Rocori begins defense of the Class 4A title.

The Sartell-St. Stephen school board will soon have another opening. Vice Chair Patrick Jacobson-Schulte has handed in his resignation, because he's moving to a home outside the district. His resignation will be effective May 30th.

A group of parents in the Sartell-St. Stephen school district have started a Facebook page with information about what's happening in the district. Spokeswoman Pam Raden says the group is called "Trans [parent] cy", and they formed their organization after the school board made the decision to eliminate spring break.
