High School Football Practice Starts

High School football practice began in the St. Cloud area Monday. Sartell-St. Stephen has a new head coach, Scott Hentges, Justin Skalerud returns as the Apollo head coach, Gregg Martig is back at Tech, Dean Taylor returns at Cathedral, and Bill Magnuson is back at Sauk Rapids-Rice. Mike Rowe is back as Rocori begins defense of the Class 4A title.

The Sartell-St. Stephen school board will soon have another opening. Vice Chair Patrick Jacobson-Schulte has handed in his resignation, because he's moving to a home outside the district. His resignation will be effective May 30th.

Sartell-St. Stephen Parents Form Transparentcy Group [AUDIO]

A group of parents in the Sartell-St. Stephen school district have started a Facebook page with information about what's happening in the district. Spokeswoman Pam Raden says the group is called "Trans [parent] cy", and they formed their organization after the school board made the decision to eliminate spring break.

The Sartell-St. Stephen school board will hold a special meeting tomorrow (Tuesday) night at 6:30 p.m. to elect a new chairperson. At the work study session immediately following the special meeting, the board also discuss the process of filling the school board seat left vacant due to the resignation of Julie Zupfer Anderson.
